I want X to be my main game because I think Xerneas just looks plain awesome. Aside from that though, it's clear that X and Y are the opposing concepts of life and death. Y and Yveltal symbolizing the concepts of death and destruction while X and Xerneas are birth and creation. X also has more 'friendly' looking version exclusives, while Y has more darker and grim ones so far.
I'm more fond of the aura and atmosphere of X over Y.
