As for shinies, this is the only gen in the series to make shinies actually valuable and worthwhile to own. Old shinies were trophies, nothing more. They would have shit IV's, the wrong ability, unfixable egg moves, the wrong nature, the list goes on. You can fix all that shit in Sword & Shield. I can go out and get a shiny that has no perfect IV's, the wrong ability and nature and fix it up to be perfect, providing the ability it needs isn't the Hidden Ability, and therein lies the beauty of this gen. I've been bitching about shinies being fucking useless for what seems like 15+ years now and finally they have a reason to be hunted.
