It's part a blessing, because loving the mascot of one of the biggest franchises on Earth means there is no end of content to indulge in. It's part a curse because there is almost no escaping it.
I was normal and didn't think anything in particular of Pikachu until I started playing it in Smash, because I liked its playstyle. I even remember thinking that its big red cheeks looked stupid, but at some point my brain must have been corrupted by the long-term exposure.
