I usually pick the grass starter, but I've picked the fire starter a few times. I've used a lot of water Pokemon this gen (Greninja, Azumarill) and my first shiny that I got a few hours ago was a shiny Quagsire. I like Water a lot now, I guess. None of the types really scream shit to me, though. Let's just say Flying is my least favorite.

I don't know much about animals, my mind just keep flocking to Wingull/Pelipper.
How about a toad with wings? We already have Politoed whose green and Froakie's line is blue, so I'm picturing something similar to Gamabunta (pic related) but probably way smaller, and with the wings you often see drawn on a Pegasus.
Most flying types are very bird-like, so I'd want this Pokemon to have moves that don't exist yet. e.g. Brave Bird is a badass move and all, but a flying toad using "Brave Bird" seems a bit off.
