>>35807206Yep. I was a bit of a "genwunner" at the time, because I'd never played Gen 4 either (except for HGSS) at this point. To me, Gen 1 to 3 were "Pokémon" and anything after that was trash. And to be fair, Gen 5's design philosophy is very different, whereas I think that Gen 6 made an effort to create simple, effective Pokémon designs that were reminiscent of the older Pokémon. They got me to play Pokémon again, especially Xerneas, so that has to mean something. Fortunately or unfortunately, Pokémon designs aren't everything, and the games need content to be good. Regardless of my new found love for BW's Pokémon, the game and its sequel are choke full of content. X&Y and USUM aren't, even though I love the designs.
