>>37389747>I'd change the colour scheme, for a start. Even just keeping the blue-green from Iguadium and making the pattern on its chest red would help. There's really no excuse for making it completely blue.I think keeping it majority blue is best since it is still a water starter and every other one has a blue colouration. I do think making the cross on the final form red or some other contrasting colour would be a great improvement, though. I tried it out myself.
>The texture on the salt parts is pretty bad, too. It doesn't resemble salt at all because of how smooth it is, I'd have said it was bone armour if I didn't know better. It should be much more rugged and bumpy, and making it less yellow might also help.Looks like salt to me, but to each their own. I feel like adding more detail to the salt would make the design too busy, though.
>I'd also scrap the fighter aspect completely.> Marine iguanas aren't known for fighting one another more than most other animals, and fighters generally don't wear armour, so how does it fit in?Eh, I get if it's not your thing but I really feel like it needs something more than just "salty blue lizard". I think the salt amour works well enough for that and certainly gives it a certain raw, brutish appeal. Not every aspect of a Pokemon needs to be based directly off of its corresponding animal, instead with Aguanaut they went a step further and based the fighting motif off of the salt armour concept they already came up with. It's similar to how I Oshawott's line went from ordinary otters to otters with shell weapons (based on how real otters use tools and shells) to a samurai theme based off of that shell weapon concept.
