I am really new to competitive, and I want Blastoise for it's utility capabilities. It could probably be put together much better. If it was a non-Mega Blastoise, what sort of hold item should I be looking at? Also, I'm tempted to swap Mirror Coat for Haze for preventing setups.

I'm glad we're all jumping on the same boat.

Now we need GF Senpai to notice us and Blastoise will be insta OU.

His resistance will make him somewhat unstoppable if you support him with Sticky web or Tailwind imo. First hits and a brick wall with Mega Launcher.

I just had a look see over both Blastoise and Empoleon and I feel like Blastoise deserves the Dual typing when it goes Mega He can learn more steal type moves than Empoleon too even if its just one.
