- Keep the story simple but enjoyable
- Have major characters like Gym Leaders, Elite Four, Champion, and others having a life of their own outside of their occupied spot. (The more recently generations did something like that, especially with the earlier characters such as Milo, Hala, etc.)
- Similar to Sinnoh's Canalave City, keep more wordy stuff in the form of books, for those who are curious about interacting with everything
- For the evil team, have them be comical but a legit threat.
These are just a few examples of how I'd write a Pokemon story. If I ever come up with more ideas or if people wanna discuss some things I mentioned, I'll try my best to respond as soon as possible.
