The point of a new Pokemon game is a new region with NEW Pokemon, not to encounter the same trash you already caught and saw in the previous game.
It's lazy and boring as fuck that the flying gym leader has... a fucking Pidgey, the first shitmon you encounter in route 1 alongside Rattata, instead of something cool or new.
