Best rivals are obviously blue, and ???. Gary was a snob little prick and seeing him always one step ahead of you was great, exactly what a good rival should be. The moment ??? physically assaults you outside is when I knew he was based too. Fucking GameFreak clearly went downhill after gen 2 with the rivals, here's hoping gen 8 will be different but I know it won't be.
