>>40910239If anything, it seems like numerous Pokemon have been over-designed in the name of quality to the point where they lack any instant appeal. In past gens, I'd see their Pokemon for the first time and go 'oh I like that' where as I wasn't sure how to feel about most of Galar. It also has the highest number of Pokemon which I actively hate (as in red), though there are mons like centiscorch, dragapult and clobbopus that are fairly high-tier. Outside of designs, I have found the typings this gen to be all fucked up. There are so many instances where a Pokemon should be dual type but isn't (sirfetch'd, clobbopus, nickit, etc.) Personally I prefer 'quantity over quality' purely because 90% of Pokemon will always be good. I don't think there is really a quantity vs quality argument to be made unless you're talking 150+.
