Another part was that the password inputs were fucked for PTC logins and apparently not secured, and couldn't accept Japanese/Chinese characters.
The on-screen keyboard also disabled swiping/gliding and emoji inputs so if you liked nicknaming your Pokémon with certain conventions or special characters that was fucked too.
