>>54004040>not giving them fur coatI called my little guy Shifur as well, but the bigger guy is named Snowmad. We both portray them as nomadic, and my dex entry mentions that you can tell where Snowmad come from by the fur they wear.
But the rest of it is pretty much the opposite. I treated Shifur & Snowmad as loose counterparts to Cubone & Marowak because they both wear remains of dead Pokemon. Shifur's dex entry mentions that they are always shivering, almost like Snowrunt's 3D animations, but researchers can't tell if it's from fear or being extremely cold. I also have the idea that Snowmad are very protective of their skittish young, and will become quickly angered if anything tries to mess with Shifur.
My Shifur is Ice/Normal, while Snowmad is Ice/Dark to reflect its anger and protectiveness. It keeps its 4x weakness to Fighting at both stages.
Shifur has a 30/50/70/40/50/60 spread, showing that it's not physically strong but will be able to run from most fights in its mountainous habitat. Snowmad has 65/100/85/90/60/105, following a similar spread to Arcanine with a focus on speed. I made it a mixed attacker because my hack doesn't have the physical/special split.
They learn all kinds of cutting moves, along with Snowmad getting Thunderpunch. They also get a lot of rock and ground-type moves via TM due to being encountered at the top of a mountain.
