Okay, here's how it is.
>Charizard EX Fire Blast
Not good enough. Always treat coin-flip effects as tails unless the heads is insane and it isn't insane.
>Charizard EX Flame Explosion
Decent on its own. Stronger than Xearneas-EX in a better typing for getting energies out quickly.
>Sacred Ash
Decent as a one or two-of in decks that use 1-1 or 2-1-2 lines but stuff that just uses basics or 'thick' lines it's of less use.
>Flame Torch
HG/SS Ninetales Roast Reveal as a item, sort of. It's a Bill that works great with the next card
>Blacksmith
Very, very strong card. Going to see a lot of use in the barrage of Emboar-Y-Zard M-EX decks we'll be seeing come mid May. It's double Dark Patch that goes on any Fire types and Trevenant can't stop
>Lysandre
Gust of Wind as a supporter. Was really hoping for something more creative for the Team Flare Boss but it'll have to do. It's gone and made Aegislash instantly a lot less viable though...
>Goomy
Generic basic.
>Sliggoo
Generic stage 1.
>Goodra
Unplayable in the current format. Just as tool-lock for the opponent would be underwhelming when Trevenant is a thing, but seriously making it so it tool-locks YOU is like they're attempting to wind up Goodra's autistic fanbase.
>Charizard X
Unplayable. Requires two types and mills you out too quickly when you already chew through cards like mad in most matches. God help you if you have to Wild Blaze a non-EX...
>Charizard Y
Very reliant on Protect Cube to not kill itself quickly. Skyla for that though (and have Dowsing as an Ace Spec fer god sake) and at that point it's the most potent attacker in the game. Not very Charizard-like though, it does damage to itself instead of discarding Energy?!
>Protect Cube
Good with Reshiram-EX. Better with Y-Zard. Too narrow anywhere else.
>Promo Charizard-EX
It's alright. Chewing up one turn to search for the Mega, then another to Mega Evolve is waaaay too slow.
