all these fire mons who have 3D-modeled fire should just have their fire be things like particle & transparency effects, which can react by flaring up during attacks, or dwindling out during faint animations
not doing due diligence on shit like this is what lands us a fire type whose “awesome fire pouring out of the corners of its jaws” instead gets likened to fucking mutton chops or sideburns
