OP, i can understand the customization thing, although Brendan and May are meant to be more iconic than Serena and Calem.
But what the fuck do you mean "obsolete?" Of course it's obsolete for the latest online metagame, it's a fucking first version. You buy first versions to enjoy the game, knowing they're going to be obsolete. It's just happening sooner than usual, but it makes no fucking difference because you would buy the new game anyway. Plus ORAS is still compatible with XY, you can still battle in the XY league, but not with new megas. And most importantly, this has NO BEARING ON THE QUALITY OF ORAS ITSELF AS A GAME.
It's like you're looking for something stupid to be butthurt about.
