Battles were doubles only, it actually included combo moves, a lot of stuff got changed (like evolutions), and while it was somewhat edgy (Pokémon being allowed to keep fighting when facing a mind controller trainer, but if they faint again, they straight up die), it didn't seem too bad (it was far from Reborn levels).
