>>49511556You can really tell they were made by new people, which isn't a good thing, some of them really clash in a very inexperienced way.
To sum it up you have changes that are too drastic, and a lot of changes that are too little, or an awkward middle road. This really shows in just the starters
Typhlosion(h) is the worst of both worlds changed to much of it to the appeal it had before, but not enough for it to truly stand on its own.
Samurott might as well not have a new form, and people have said Samurott is perfect so you couldn't change much of it, they could have bulked the armor up give it a fresher feel, this is just Shadow the Hedgehog version right now.
Decidueye is the only one to actually have meaningful change, it has some awkward spots like the wings are a bit to short, I at least appreciate the change it feels the most like a regional form.
Zora Line is one the best ones, Stantler Evo is simple, but it also manages to be very effective with the change, so it still has meaning to its existence, Growlith is very cute I can see why they showed it off so much, Voltorb is also fun to look at, it's simple but the wooden texture and eyebrows help it stand out a little, but both fail when evolving being too similar to the Original version with less of the charm it just comes out as being less experienced and not knowing where to take some of the designs. This explains the whole really mixed bag a lot and I hope they get better down the road, and that maybe some people just say "No" to some designs, same with James, Food Pokémon are a mistake, someone needs to reel him back a bit.
Dialga Palkia are straight up the worst still, I feel like Black/White Kyrem did the whole ugly thing better, it could at least be seen as scary Frankenstein Monster, it did force fuse, but these guys just look crippled, something needs to balance all the ugly out.
At least that's my take.
