Consistent drip feeding of pokemon (with most of the other news being just showing off some of the region's features) would prevent a drought while still keeping surprises for the actual release.
Box Legends+ early route mons in gameplay like what they did for S/M are what I expect for E3. Add in shit like DLC#2 and potentially even 3 for smash, Astral Chain gameplay, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Animal Crossing, overall a solid E3 lineup I'd say.
