I thought it was enjoyable. I wish it could have been longer, because seeing how they handled the stories they did made the "here's half my journey summed up in ten seconds" bits felt like wasted opportunities. I think that they got telling the (ultimately basic) story of Red & Green right by showing us vignettes rather than a long continuous narrative.
I'm not going to compare it to the weekly anime because to do so would be folly.
I'm also not going to call it "god tier" because that's like giving your favorite fast food of choice a 10/10. It's delicious for what it is and I enjoy it, but it's not the second coming.
Anyone disappointed that it was an "advertisement for Mega Evolutions:" you really should have expected that.
