Double Battles can be such killers in Nuzlockes. So falls my seventh team member, Glorfindel, to the Fairy Tale Girl/Hex Maniac combo of Gardevoir and Alakazam. It's not a devastating loss to the functionality of things, thankfully, as I have plenty of good backup Water types, but I loved the idea of taking an Octillery to the Elite 4, and his legacy shall be missed.
With a Super Rod in tow, though, I finally grabbed my Parfum Palace encounter in The Mouth of Sauron, shortened to "The Mouth," the Gyarados. A couple of other fun catches, and it was off to face Olympia. One of my newest teammates, Boromir the Magnezone, ended the gym fight with 3 Thunderbolts, and now it's time to prepare for Flare.
Some concerns. The first is that my team is very unbalanced. 2 Poison types and 2 Electric types means that I may be well prepared for Fairies and enemy Gyarados, but that a good Ground type fucks up almost my entire team. Should I bump into a Mamoswine, 5/6th of my team is thus rendered useless. Once Team Flare is taken care of, I do hope to get my hands on a non-Truant Durant, and if I replace Morwen the Heliolisk with it, that'll solve a lot of my problems. If my Route 18 encounter is not a Durant, or is one but with Truant, then I'm not sure what I'll do.
This team should do fine for our friendly neighborhood evil team, though. I'm gonna grind everyone up to 50, then head off into the lion's den.
