shadow's a good example of legitimately edgy because the game is filled with "hardcore" metal music, black and grey, shadow swearing, big guns, shadow being the "deep, brooding" version of sonic with black and red spikes that kills others with little remorse, that sort of thing. just because something is black or has spikes doesn't mean it's automatically edgy, though; it has to have a lot of these qualities.
