>>16817725>>16817651>>16817464Okay, I tried my hand, once again, at a Rainbow Serpent.
My old serpent Idea is there but it lacks multiple design elements (also there for comparison sake. When it was originally posted A was preferred to B - simple with few colors was apparently the way to go).
In the newer one I made it have done multiple versions (A is the better of the 3 imo) and a more naga shaped rough (didn't finish it as I couldn't get it looking right). The long drifting cloud parts shows Wisdom and elegance. The cloud part is also more integrated so it doesn't seem stuck on. Like, the serpent being a creator figure has become one with its creation/nature. The exposed parts such as the tail show it hasn't been completely consumed by its creation. The clouded body also shows that it is linked to rain/clouds somewhat. The large "sack"/"lump" on it's neck is where it stores lots of energy in order to create new life/things. As for the "rainbow" aspect, didn't really want a literal Rainbow slapped on somewhere and wanted something to do with the prism aspect brought up constantly. But again, no random gem or crystal slapped on the tail or head. Instead went for neck/head frills (yes, I know they look like fins but I couldn't draw it properly.
Besides, Fins link to an association with water, right? Definitely not an ass pull. If someone can draw better frill your're more than welcome to.) that are semi transparent perhaps. Like a prism, when light is reflected into it, it splits the light into a rainbow (This can just be in the pokedex entry or something).
I decided not to color it in as I couldn't think of a good color scheme (someone else can color it). I would have imagined the area around the eyes, tail, claws and "sack"/"lump" to be one color, the frills to be a different color and the cloud body to be another.
If anyone can draw it better, that would also be appreciated Any thoughts? Opinions?
