Single player video games tend to feel like exhausted theme parks once you finish them, you've been on every ride and seen every station. Pokemon games tend to have enough to keep you there- the timed events, playing the Battle Tower, most of all completing the Pokedex- that they might feel like they're drawing a little more attention to it. It gets me thinking about how much time is spent on assets players may only see once.
