>>18215652I hope it's alright if I intrude on this idea a little- I'm an Ausfag and a biologist, and I really like the idea of a Megalania/Varanid pokemon. I drew a rough interpretation of a basic and evolved form- I thought it'd be neat to go from the gecko/crocodile skink-like basic to the varanid form. In its basic form, the tail is the same light colour as its underbelly and serves as a distraction- like skinks and geckoes, it could easily lose its tail and escape. After it evolves, the tip of its tail is still brightly coloured, but this time it serves as a lure to draw in prey before disabling them with its poisonous tongue.
