They're not Emerald remakes but with R/S plot and cover. Emerald is what R/S should've been, so instead of reviving that masterpiece that massively redeemed gen 3, they instead revived the inferior versions, alongside casualizing them and removing some features(RIP Game Corner). They can't even revive the original frontier to prevent this game from being so barebones. Out of all the instalments Gamefreak has shat out, this is by far the weakest, inexcusable entire in the series. Even worse than R/B due to technological limitations back in the day. The existence of these games makes me wish they cancelled the prerelease due to time restraints. These games are enormous proof that yearly rereleases are killing the franchise.
