Already, if you don't like the Rapidash line, you don't have any options in the Sinnoh games besides to pick the starter.
Then in HGSS, you better pick the version that has the fire type you like in it, or you'll have to trade for it.
It just wasn't a good generation for finding the fire type you like natively.
