Shinies in Scarlet/Violet are genuinely anxiety inducing because shit is constantly spawning all around me and it might be a shiny, but there's no fucking way to tell aside from battling it.
They could have at least put a little star next to the name in battle, or when you lock on to it and it shows the name or something.
I'm fucking certain I've just ran past multiple shinies at this point, and I hate it.
Half of the dex is so insanely subtle, I can barely spot the difference between most of the new mons and their shiny version even when I have the pictures side by side
