You could make it work anyways but it's not going to be significantly easier than creating a competent balanced team. AkyuuE could also be a good idea due to Eternal Record shenanigans, but I'm not sure how much the AI uses Break Shot or Field Break.
The village tournament is fucking me up too, don't worry. It seems substantially harder than the Battle Frontier in most respects.
