I love the idea of a grass/flying starter and a fire/rock starter, though. I'm not sure about the other one, though, is it supposed to be water ice? If so it could fuck both of the others - particularly the one that's supposed to be the rival - so the balance is fucked up.

I unfortunately didn't play pokemon at all in 5th gen and came back for 5th gen. It's the only generation I skipped, but I loved every single thing they did with the sprite arts and animations. It really makes me want to try playing the games every time I see the sprites - their movement is really good and emoting and moving around during battles gives the pokemon so much more personality. I really hope they do more of that kind of work with the 3D models soon enough. They really have their work cut out for them trying to top all of that.
