The problem with the gimmicks is that they never will come back. They were designed to be a flashy thing for one region and then be exclusive to that region. They serve 0 purpose except to look like cool nukes in order to give Alola/Galar some semblance of identity because those regions are otherwise too forgettable and boring without it and they don't have anything to them outside of more KANTOOO pandering.
