First its the fact that for once there is a turtle that really delivers the whole "shell is the prime design choie" sure blastoice has cannons, torkoal has steam, but the torterra line has something i could actually see being on the turtles shells.
Theres also the clear transition of a uncultured soil in turtwig, growing into bushes with Grotle, and at last a whole ecosystem on Torterra.
