Superboss who introduces a touch of moral ambiguity into the story and shakes up the tone of the simple 12 year old source material? Sign me up for that much. Spitballing, the game wants you tolerate her antics because she's lost a normal life being the last bearer of the Dragon people, she's not a perfect sage type. But she's so out there and/or flowerly that she never endears herself to you despite your being a critical piece of her design, so her thinking so highly of the player is met with "Okay crazy lady". To some that's an imperfection and that's neat, others she's just cray. That her fights don't exist doesn't help either (though they're good template for rom hacks).
