Even oni or yokai who work though avatars, spirits, or possessed animals and people run in terror at the presence of a monk, they are sanctified and thus immune to them and also devastating with just their voice. They snuff out their ‘light’ by trying to get them to corrupt themselves, they can’t.
Darkness is the absence of light, darkness cannot harm light because it cannot exist in its presence so Light should be immune to dark but also be 4x devastating attack wise as well.
