Durant would be my starter, given to me by Burgh, the gym leader in my home base Castellia City. In my training in the desert to the north I'd encounter a Darumaka, which I'd catch to become the second member of my team. From there I'd do the lap of Unova, and while up in the north I'd rescue a Rufflet who'd join me as my third.
Durant is reliable and follows orders well. The good guy of the group. Darmanitan can be a little too rambunctious and eager to fight, and Braviary is rather vain and a bit of a prima donna.
At some point in our travels we bump into (literally) a new trainer named Bianca, someone we run into on and off until I ask if maybe she'd like a permanent traveling companion for a while. Not like I like her or anything though!
