>>50303729There's no need for a new protagonist. Ash already embodies everything positive and appealing a kid watching should feel about Pokémon and he has credit with the adults. Changing after so long would just alienate everybody.
Do a real reboot like putting M21 Ash in the show instead. No previous background at all. A clean slate.
