For example : Shizuka & Nobita's marriage was part of Doraemon's mission and Youkai Watch got Fumi & Keita married to introduce their children as the new protagonist. Without plot relevancy, kids anime doesn't make any main ship canon even if the show has the best heroine. Example: Duel Master that had 10/10 main girl named Mimi yet Shobu is still unmarried despite being 35 year old and pass his torch to his brother who got married and pass his torch to his son.
None of the ship involving Ash doesn't have any plot relevancy to be canon. They can be ship bait to lure people into watching the anime but it doesn't require them to be canon.
Bakugan is the only expectation to this but it backfired when the series introduce Mira & Fabia.
