>>35390408I was grinding outside Mt. Silver and used my last couple balls on a Sneasel before running into a shiny Tangela. It was (and still is) the only shiny I've ever found. I was gonna release the Sneasel out of frustration but when I went to the poke'center one of the mons I was training had caught pokerus. So I googled what the hell "pokerus" was and found out about EVs, so I decided to EV train the Sneasel to make up for losing the Tangela. I taught it False Swipe and Thief and used it to complete my living dex. It helped me catch everything in Johto, Sinnoh and Unova. I didn't use it in Kalos since Pokebank took so long to release and the number of new mons was so small I could get by without it, but I haven't finished the Alola dex yet so I'll probably whip her out again to help with that. I know something like Parasect would probably make a better catching assistant but I'll stick with my Sneasel. Also shout out to my HM slaves Linlin the Floatzel and Nanners the Tropius.
