got some map work done, this is starting off some work I did about a year ago while i was between jobs that i had dropped until this last week during quarantine, so some of you might recognise this from that old posting.
anyway, this is east island, the air themed island and where the player starts.
Center right tucked into the mountains is a small fishing village, your hometown, the small holes all over are supposed to be wingull nests, I know it looks weird in map form but im gonna fill them with wingull sprites, look up seagull cliff nests to get what i mean.
directly east is the first route, small beach route, going to have a surfable and divable area to the east, south is the professor's lab, taking the cave at the north at first can lead directly north to the major port city, later with hms can lead west to that small lake.
port city has hotel next to docks, couple houses, town monument to island spirit, some warehouses, and the gym looking building is gonna be a power station, this region wont have standard gyms but each island will have a power station.
east of port town is valley route, north up the waterfalls will be ruins and access to the island spirit pokemon, south up the mountains is what im working on now, will be a winding path along the mountaintops leader to another town
everything here is very much wip, so if you see any obvious mistakes in blank areas ignore them, ones in more finished areas please point them out, any critique about layout so far please as well.
I still need to make sprites for the different stair directions so ignore that, mainly im looking for map flow critique rather than graphic nitpicks, for instance the valley feels off to me, so any help with that or anything else, also again please don't just trash the wingull nests, that kept happening last time, i get it looks weird, it's just a concept stage, thanks for any time
