but let's have a talk. I think Game Freak need to hire someone decent to handle the plot. It doesn't mean that it should become overcomplicated
or highly dramatic. They don't even need to change the formula but at least some plot points should make more sense. Out of Gen 3 - Gen 6 villains Cyrus was the only one who didn't have any major flaw in his plans. Archie and Maxie's goals didn't make any sense, Ghetsis absolutely overlooked the part about Unova not being the only region in the world and Lysandre doesn't make sense again. Or let's say, AZ wandering non stop for 3000 years. This is hardly believable even for a children's game. They could simply explain that he wakes up once every 100 years, goes on a journey to find Floette and then returns to sleep.
