I only raised my starter in r/b because I was too lazy and stupid to figure out its a team based game, plus I was doing pretty good anyways. I basically just used my other pokemon as hm slaves then dropped the game whenever it got hard
some kid gave me a pokemon card for free at school just to be nice, I cant remember what it was but I think it was a charmeleon, then some older kid manipulated me into trading it for a sticker he had of a pokemon ball. my brother tried to explain to me that i fucked up, but i said the ball is better because I can catch any pokemon with it
