I'm sure Dray is a busy guy nowadays, and with how far romhacking has developed since he first started and people bombarding him with questions about release dates he's probably burnt out.
I gave up waiting last year and finally just played Sacred Gold again, it still holds up well. Had a team I originally wanted to use for AC, but ever since finding out the hack is gonna feature gen 5/6 mons at least I figured it didn't matter anymore. Playing through gen 4 Johto with Unova, Kalos, and potentially even Alolan mons will be interesting.
