>>51011395>The trainer moving in from Kanto has nil effect on the actual plot,Bullshit it doesn't. Them moving from Kanto is the whole reason they're even doing the journey and trials in the first place, it's a rite of passage.
>the narrative is far more concerned with Alola's nature and how that's coming into threat, not explicitly on how that state changesAnon, the changes were the threat to Alola's natural ecosystem, this part is explicit
>.Change is about as involved in the narrative as it is in any other JRPG plot (or most other plots in general for that matter, regardless of medium)Except most the actions of the villains are a direct result of an active change, the Aether Foundation is a company not native to Alola and is actively making an impact on it, they even tell you they are clear as day.
And... it was different? Even within the League itself there was variance from the formula
The issue is how it blatantly contradicts itself on this. That the league shouldn't have existed and it had no real place in the overall story of the game or the themes it had.
>Once again, I'm explaining how the game flies in direct contrast to your argument, and you're doing nothing but saying the game's wrong and t's contradicting this theme it totally has, instead of just admitting you based it off of nothing but your own headcanon that the game doesn't agree with.Just because you don't shit about themes or can read them doesn't mean they aren't there. Everything you've told me is surface value shit at best, and using it to claim my view is wrong, like there's a fucking objectivism in media and art critique
But I suppose all this is to be expected from the fanbase of this franchise.
>I'm done replying honestly, I'm bored of this argument and we're not going anywhere anywaysGood. That's honeslty the only thing I've agreed with you with. Go read a book or something.
>Have fun with your delusions, I guess. And you have fun with your ignorance.
