>>56517195Flying/Fire is probably the best typing in a vaccum since it gets an immunity and 4x weakness. But it also depends on the typing and moveset you give them, and nobody's saying that they have to have the default starter abilities of Overgrow, Torrent, Blaze.
Breloom for one is hindered by having to have a low speed due to having Spore, Carracosta has an uncomplimentary stat, and Charizard is Charizard.
I imagine a physically offensive Grass/Fighting could be pretty good if it had access to drain punch, leech seed, and horn leech. Grass also has a lot of support options and both psychic and poison coverage moves aren't out of the question depending on how it's flavored. Dionysis was also a god of insanity and alcohol is literally a poison.
Kind of like how Charizard gets Dragon moves due to looking like a Dragon.
Honestly even bad typings can be saved by good move pools and abilities, but if you don't want to having a fighting starter you don't have to be married to another type triangle idea.
