Following an early dose of Team Rocket-faggotry back in my genwunner days, Meowth became the first pokemon I would care enough to have as a bro - including my in-game team. Never to be evolved into bland Persian, it was used to effectively solo E4.
But!
Skip a load of time - and discovering Gallade single handedly brought the end to this era.
But!
I nevertheless consider Meowth to be one of the better designed and more memorable pokemon out of original 151.
