You'd see a lot of Talking Pokemon running around. Think TR Meowth, just on a grand scale. The other part is true though, you'll need humans on hand for emergency stuff and probably things that a Pokemon could not handle any better than a person would. The more Human like ones though would be just as valuable as a regular human.
