And I don't think I'll be replaying them, at least not soon. I still need to finish off the postgame for HeartGold and the Ranger game, plus I recently picked up a 3DS so I have XY, ORAS, USUM, and SMD to play through as well.

I like your take on how you'd like to live in the world as a Pokemon, though.
Less of a master/pokemon relationship with a trainer and more of an equal companion alongside a trainer type deal, it's interesting to think about.
I wonder if you'd even be allowed to compete in stuff like gym battles or the E4 with the human since you wouldn't be registered as theirs. You'd just be any other wild Pokemon from a ref's standpoint, I'd think, who just happens to hang around a specific human.
Funny to think of an Umbreon wife, I always consider Umbreon to be male in my mind. Maybe a female Umbreon would be a little less... serious, eh?
