I'm playing so far (beat Lusamine and am about to catch the title legendary) and don't get the appeal behind him.
I was actually hyped about Hau before playing the game, because I've read he has a shaded side behind the smile and the malasada chat.
Everything I got, was a boy with a passion for snack and pokemon battle.

These are just some background information and we don't get anything directly from Hau.
I've heard, after beating the story he says he want to get stronger to find his father and becomes a league challenger, but it's actually disappointing (at least for me), because I've expected more development from him.
Do people really like him? Not for his design (I think female players and children might like him), but really for his character.
