It's sort of like how in Western countries we tend to base ideas on stuff that are constantly in the pop culture sphere, like anytime someone creates a superhero for example it's always going to be compared to Superman or Spider-Man. Over there they have this is a cultural basis and everybody grew up with it. I guess the ultimate point is that nothing is created in a vacuum, ideas come from somewhere.
