I am getting a Comic Books to Movies vives from all of this. The source material was generating a pittance compared to the movies so nobody cared that that got corrupted and destroyed by political interest. Fast forward to 10 years after that happened and the new movies and tv shows are bombing left and right because they already went over all the original and well received source material and not they are using the most modern stuff, the stuff that failed to sell the first time around.
If things are going the way they are going Pokémon will stop, it will take a decade but it will die.
